Ward Easter Egg Hunt

We woke up bright and early this morning to help set up for our ward Easter Egg Hunt.  It was so much fun... a bit of a struggle getting us all there on time at 8:45 but WE DID IT!  I was quite proud... it's so much easier getting out the door when Greg's around.  I love him.  It's such a gorgeous day... but seriously freezing.  When we arrived it was 28 degrees.  BRRRRR!
She was so excited to get started.  She kept going for it before she was supposed to.
Here's Daddy showing Haven what to do.
Once she got the candy there was no getting it away from her.
I love our neighborhood's scenery... the lake... the parks.... and bike paths.  It's such a fun little community.
(If you look closely you can see some snow left from our little snow storm 4 days ago.  I'm definitely ready for SPRING WEATHER!)
Here's Greg trying to bribe her to smile :)
Haven taking matters into her own hands (or teeth.)  Whatever it takes to get to the "M & M'ers!"

Born With A Silver Spoon In Her Mouth

I remember doing dishes and thinking... "Why is Haven being so quiet?" Only to walk over and see what she found so entertaining.  She thought it was hilarious.  I love this age.  It's so cute to see the ordinary things she makes into toys.  Who would have thought a spoon could be so entertaining.  I guess the saying "One man's junk is another man's treasure" is SO TRUE with a 21 month old.  Things I wouldn't think twice about, captivate her for a half an hour or more.  Cute.

It's a PURSE... It's a HAT... It's a...

Haven is always doing things to make us laugh.  She is too funny!  She always uses these two hot pink purses that are the classic ones that come with some Gift with purchases or something.  She knows it's a purse but apparently she likes them to be multifunctional; as her arms are always full of blankets, dolls, stuffed animals, or whatever her new favorite toy of the moment is.  There have even been times when she would throw a fit just to have it on her head.  She is such a girl.

Polka-Dotted Princess & Our Twilight Night

We all got dolled up for a fun Saturday night.  My mom insisted that we take a VERY low-key evening and go out.  (She knew I was going out of my mind with stir-craziness being on bed arrest for a month, so Greg and I had dinner and for-the-love-your-wife kinda movie TWILIGHT :)
Haven went with Nana to bake cookies over at Sky's apartment in Belmont.
She was in such a sweet mood that I just had to take these pictures of her.
She can be such an innocent Prima Donna...
 as illustrated below. :)

I LOVE when she crinkles her nose.
Another inheritance from Daddy...
and her Great Grandma Ethel.
She always has 5 things she must NEVER leave without.
So here's Haven's "BYE BYE CHECKLIST"
TWO BOTTLES... CHECK.
TWO (normally 3) blankets... CHECK.
Her pampering Nana... CHECK.
She is such a lucky and happy girl.  It's been so sweet to have had my mom here taking care of us during this whole ordeal.  Thanks so much for taking good care of us... (thanks dad for sharing her)... and mostly thanks for treating Haven like a princess.  That bow might as well be a CROWN on her head.  I'm probably not going to like having to deal with the "Lil' Miss Priss" she's become once you're gone though.  It's going to be a sad day when you leave.  I'll just leave it at that.
I never EVER leave her.  And even though there's no one else I trust her with more, I always get so sad when I'm not with her.  I'm always wondering what she's doing... learning... or if she's happy.  Sorry I called you so much Mom :)  It's crazy to think that my little girls' growing up so fast.  Here she is waving and saying "Buh Bye Momma!"  She's NEVER been sad when we're apart.  Ever.  Maybe that's why I have the separation anxiety... to compensate for her lack of it :)
She LOVES "PUNKINS"
Greg took me to this really cute little restaurant where he was able to get us sat at a table with a really comfy tufted bench seat to sit on... and dropped me off so I'd take a whole 20 less steps. :)  This was my first time out of the house in a month.  What a bed-rest rebel.
This is LOVE.  Yes.  Greg actually went and saw TWILIGHT with me,
and he'll kill me for saying this, but he even read them along with me.  I think it's cute.  I think he learned a lot from a female perspective and he did have to tell me that whenever she'd talk about Edward he'd just skip to the next paragraph.  Funny boy.  But he did it.  Just for me.  (...and he actually took this picture as proof.)  That in and of itself made my month.  Love you!

Our Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we were lucky enough to have most of my family at our house for Thanksgiving.
Blake, Sky, Tyler, Adrienne, Thatcher, and my parents were all able to make it.
The meal, prepared by my amazing momma, was "a.may.zing."
I did what I could and tried to at least make it festive with things I had around the house.

To continue our family tradition (that my Aunt Joanie started) we ALL had our very own BOTTLE of Sparkling Cider... Martinelli's of course:)

We also carried on the tradition of watching a classic Christmas movie before dessert.
Here's Haven getting sleepy in the theater room.
This year we opted for Home Alone 2 over Christmas Vacation.  A true Pittson family classic.
She loves falling asleep downstairs.
Dessert was wonderful... and of course consisted of a couple sweet slives of FRENCH SILK from Village Inn (Baker's Square.) Mmmm.
While Thanksgiving Dinner was being prepared Haven and Thatcher got to go play at the park with Tyler, Adrienne and Greg.  They had so much fun.  Here's Haven going down what she calls a "wee."
This was her first time swinging solo.
Greg's a lot more daring than I am.  I love that the park is so close, you can see our house behind Haven.
Thanks For A Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
